Positive: Everything is so relaxing & if you need to run into town it’s a short drive to Huntsville definitely would recommend this place to anyone just trying to get away without being too far from town if need be.

Positive: Bed was comfortable. BBQ was very clean, cottage was very clean.

Really enjoyed our stay. Would try another cabin and hope for a better fireplace by experience. Met some of the staff an Positive: Good location and great view of the lake! Very dog friendly which I always look for and they delivered in spades. Negative: I specifically booked the cabin because of the fireplace. Everything was going well for the first hour. Then, the room filled with smoke and we couldn’t trust having another fire. I’ve seen this type of thing before at my brothers. Poor chimney design. We did not touch the damper (I checked after and it was indeed open) and the front glass doors were always shut as requested. I would also suggest when clearing the snow from the roads, the entrance to the cabin is also cleared (or leave a shovel so we can clear it which would be totally fine by me!)
